Facing the Emirates Financial Towers, near the Gate of DIFC, the Sky Gardens project, under the banner of Al Mazaya representing First Dubai Real Estate Co., Kuwait, is the first residential tower to be finished in a district that lies in the heart of Dubai’s booming economy, attracting many potential investments locally and from around the world. The project comprises a 47-storey residential tower covering an area in excess of 1,000,000 square feet. The London-based Gensler, one of the prominent architectural bureaus in the world, is the designer of the project. Supervision of the project is assumed by WS Atkins, with project management by PROJACS International and construction by Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. Sky Gardens is defined as a modern home of contemporary minimalist style, based on the concept “Living Reinvented’’. The six natural gardens situated across the ascending floors are characterized by distinct lighting and designed landscape; depicting glory of light and nature, a green inspiration visible across the sky. Marking an architectural breakthrough, the residential tower also features a shopping avenue, gymnasium, swimming pool with Jacuzzi and gardens on the rooftop surrounded by penthouses. Sky Gardens gives a unique natural look from among the towers that can be seen from Sheikh Zayed Road though its fins adding beauty of nature along its external façade coupled with external elevated gardens from the inside, is a demonstration of design creativity. Sky Gardens Tower is fully clad with unitized aluminum glazed panels incorporating continuous horizontal sun breakers all around the building’s glazed areas on each floor. The building is surrounded by reflective pools and water features created by Al Khatib Cracknel landscaping architects.
